It is a classic short story. The author described the life of a man who called Dickory Cronke. Dickory Cronke was born in a little hamlet in 1660. His parents belonged to a middle class but they were hard-working and honest. All people of a neighborhood respected them. Dickory was a sickly child, had always a double portion of her care and tenderness. When he was about three years old the parents discovered that, he was dumb.
